Get the skilled yet empathetic support you need to tackle life's challenges.
When you visit Sharon L. Thompson, LMFT, you will find yourself in an environment that values listening, understanding, and support. It is an honor for me to do this work, and I have great respect for those who choose to seek help through counseling. Although it isn't always an easy endeavor, I know it can be an extremely rewarding one.
A passion for counseling
As a Master of Divinity student at Anderson University School of Theology, I discovered my passion for counseling and a fascination with why we act and react as we do. This led me to continue my education and get a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I graduated Magna Cum Laude.
My choice of a specialization in Marriage and FamilyTherapy (MFT) over other counseling degrees is rooted in the value of understanding relationship dynamics since we are in relationships from the day we are born. An MFT has specialized training and education to understand and deal with issues specifically related to relational problems.
